Born in Sabadell and trained in the Escolania de Montserrat under the direction of Fr. Ireneu Segarra. He studied cello at the ESMUC with Damián Martínez and the Master's degree in baroque cello with Bruno Cocset and the Master's degree in conducting with Laurent Gay and conducting with Celso Antunes at the Haute École de Musique in Geneva. At the same time he began to play viola da gamba with Guido Balestracci. He has taken conducting masterclasses with Emmanuel Krivine and Antoni Ros-Marbà, and cello masterclasses with Christophe Coin, Roel Dieltiens, Marçal Cervera, and Lluís Claret among others.
He was greatly influenced in his chamber music training by musicians such as the Cuarteto Casals, Feliu Gasull and Pedro Memelsdorff.
His musical activity covers a varied repertoire ranging from early music to contemporary, modern and improvised music, performing as a soloist, with chamber music ensembles and renowned orchestras such as Le Concert d’Astrée, Cappella Mediterranea, Gli Angeli Genève, Le Concert des Nations, Les Basses Réunies, Geneva Camerata, Ensemble Cantatio, Vespres d’Arnadí, Acadèmia 1750, Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla or Orquestra del Gran Teatre del Liceu, with whom he has performed in the best concert halls in Europe and Latin America and has recorded for several record labels.
Founding member of the Quartet Brossa and the Orquestra de Cambra Terrassa 48, he is currently artistic director of the personal project Ensemble Exclamatio.
He works regularly as assistant musical director at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
He teaches complementary historical cello and chamber music at the ESMUC and baroque cello at the Aula de Música Antigua of the Conservatori de Música Isaac Albéniz of the Diputació de Girona, complemented with the Curso de Música Antigua de Sant Daniel de Girona.
Guest conductor of different ensembles and orchestras in the educational field, such as the Symphony Orchestra of the Pyrenees Conservatory, the Symphony Orchestra of the Badalona Conservatory, the Baroque Camerata of the Girona Conservatory and the Baroque Camerata and Symphony Orchestra of the Populaire de Musique, Danse et Théâtre de Genève, among others.
In the summer of 2013, he actively participated as a teacher in the music-social project NEOJIBA, located in Salvador de Bahia (Brazil), giving instrumental and conducting classes and organising workshops on chamber music and baroque music.
