Career

He arrived in Spain in 1975 and was part of the legendary group 'Música Urbana'.

Since then, he has worked with national and international figures such as Celia Cruz and Tito Puente, Al Cohn, Manel Camp, Tete Montoliu, Jerry Lewis, Dianne Warwick, Natalie Cole, Jack McDuff, Orange Then Blue, Josep Carreras, Julio Iglesias, Barcelona City Orchestra, Dave Liebman, Michel Camilo, Chano Domínguez, Perico Sambeat, Bart Van Lier, Jack McDuff, Lucrecia, or Gato Pérez, among others.

He has worked both as a jazz soloist, first trumpet in big bands, as well as section player for rock and pop, and in the classical music field, being particularly recognised as a specialist in contemporary repertoire.

He was a member of the Orquestra de Cambra d'Andorra and a founding member of the Orquestra de Cambra del Teatre Lliure, dedicated to 20th-century classical music, with which he performed for 12 years and recorded a dozen albums in addition to his countless discography. He has also toured in France, Scotland, Spain, and Israel.

Subsequently, he frequently collaborated with the Big Band Terrassa (as a soloist and first trumpet), and as an accompanist for artists like Michael Mossman, John Mosca, Dick Oatts, Bobby Shew, Gary Smulyan, Carmen Mundy, Slide Hampton, or Judy Niemack.

He participated in the summer tour 'El gusto es Nuestro' with Joan Manel Serrat, Ana Belén, Víctor Manuel, and Miguel Rios (1996).
He also toured Europe and the United States with Ibrahim Ferrer and Buena Vista Social Club (2003). He has recorded numerous television and radio commercials.

As a curious trivia tidbit, his trumpet is the one that sounds in the opening fanfares for the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona.
