Galduf Simeon

Education

He studied at the Unió Musical de Llíria instructional centre.

Later, he studied at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia with professors Rafael Tortajada and Joaquín Vidal.

He obtained his degree from the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid under the guidance of Juan Abad, receiving the 'Outstanding Graduation Award'.

He was also granted a scholarship by Juventudes Musicales de España.

Concerts

He has premiered trombone concertos by Claudio Prieto, Ángel Muñoz, Miguel Franco, José María Sánchez Verdú, Eduardo Morales, and, in Spain, the one by Nino Rota.

He has performed in national and international festivals such as Daroca, Segovia, Sajazarra, Ghent, Antwerp, Utrecht, Granada, Paris, Brussels, Piacenza, Bozen, Moissac, Parma, Mantova, Murcia, Rentería, Daroca, León, Lisbon, Aranjuez, Toledo, Tallinn, Toulouse, Cuenca, St. Gallen, Morelia, Puebla, and Santiago de Chile, among others.

Awards

 



  • Award at the VI International Trombone Competition "Città di Asti" in Italy.




  • Second prize at the "Concours international de cuivres anciens" in Toulouse in the category of historical trombone.



Teaching

He has been a guest professor in the Joven Orquesta de la Comunidad Valenciana, Orquesta de la Universidad de Valencia, Orquesta Presjoven, and the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España (JONDE).

In addition to being a professor at ESMUC, he is a professor in the Performance of Early Music Master's program at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona O.A.B, a chamber music and trombone professor at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Madrid R.C.S. M., and at the International Course of Early Music in Daroca.

He also conducts trombone masterclasses at the Unió Musical de Llíria instructional centre.
