Career

Pep Moliner is a musician who plays fiscorn, trombone, and tuba, and he serves as a full-time fiscorn professor at ESMUC. He combines his teaching work at ESMUC with performing as a fiscorn player in the Cobla Sant Jordi.

He has worked with various musical groups, allowing him to develop his skills as a performer in different musical styles. His work in both pedagogy and musicology is focused on the fiscorn, including the development of new repertoires and formations involving the fiscorn.

He has also researched, and continues to do so, the history of the fiscorn as well as exploring new interpretative and technical elements of this instrument. It can be asserted that the fiscorn is the only truly Catalan wind instrument, despite its adopted origins.

Teaching

He also teaches chamber music for cobla instruments, traditional music ensembles, brass ensembles, and the theoretical course Repertori dels instruments de la Cobla'.
