Paul Poletti was trained as an organist and composer at the California State University Northridge (USA).

He has published numerous articles in specialised journals and regularly gives conferences and masterclasses in France, Italy, Germany, and Spain. He has collaborated with various museums worldwide regarding their collections of keyboard instruments, and is a contributor to different articles in the New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians in the field of temperaments and tunings.

Career

Paul Poletti is a builder and restorer of stringed keyboard instruments, primarily pianos from the 18th and 19th centuries. He is also an expert researcher in the field of historical temperaments and tunings, as well as other musical cultures.

Throughout his career, he has always been interested in the application of new technologies to the challenges of designing and constructing instruments. He has also been involved in the graphic representation of various aspects of music, such as the structure of temperaments and the perception of acoustic consonance.
