Education

He graduated from the University of the Arts in Berlin, where he studied with Prof. Wolfgang Boettcher. He completed a Postgraduate Programme in Interpretation at the Royal Academy of Music in London, obtaining the prestigious Artist Diploma from Indiana University, where he studied with Janos Starker on a scholarship from the "la Caixa" Foundation.

Awards

He received an honorary prize at the International Maria Canals Competition in Barcelona.

Career

Throughout his chamber music career, he has performed with Christian Zacharias, James Campbel, and Renaud Capuçon, and as part of symphonic formations under the baton of Lorin Maazel, Riccardo Muti, Claudio Abbado, Christoph Eschenbach, among others, on stages in major European capitals, Japan, and the United States.

His experience as a baroque cellist includes training with Stanley Ritchie and guidance from Anner Bylsma. He is a founding member of Barcelona Barroc, with which he has recorded and toured in Spain, the Netherlands, France, Sweden, and Costa Rica.

He has collaborated with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and served as principal cellist with the Symphony Orchestras of the Balearic Islands, Castile and León, Granada, and the Orquestra de Cadaqués. From 1999 to 2012, he was the assistant soloist of the OBC. Currently, he is the principal cellist of the Chamber Orchestra of Toulouse, with which he has recorded numerous CDs and performed throughout France, as well as touring in Spain and Switzerland.
