Trained at the Conservatori Municipal de Música de Barcelona, he has played the trumpet in various orchestras and jazz ensembles, focusing mainly on composition and music pedagogy.

In the late 1970s, along with Joan Albert Amargós, Lluís Vidal, Jordi Bonell, D.Pybus, A.Pereira, M.Simon, Quim Solé, and J.Cortadellas, he founded La Factoria Musical, which became a reference point in the country's musical life.

He has been a composer, arranger, and orchestrator of music for advertising and film, genres which he has combined with symphonic and chamber music. On occasion, he has worked as an orchestrator for the Chamber Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu and has collaborated with the Symphony Orchestra of Vallès and the Symphony Orchestra of Lleida.

In his educational career, he has been a teacher at various schools, and as a result of his experience, he has published several pedagogical texts. He taught at the Center for Musical Studies in Barcelona and at the "Escola de Música Zeleste." He was the pedagogical director of the Taller de Músics for thirteen years, and is currently a professor at ESMUC.
