Villanueva Isabel

Contracted Doctor Professor at UIC (Barcelona), UNAV (Pamplona), and UCLA (Los Angeles), and founder of Sweet-Bird, a company dedicated to artistic management. She combines her academic career with professional development in the audiovisual and music industry.

Education

She holds a Ph.D. in Communication, and a Bachelor's degree in Audiovisual Communication and Advertising and Public Relations.

Also completed a Master's degree in Social Science Research (UIC Barcelona).

Additionally, she holds another degree in Music Performance, and specialised in Lyrical Singing at the Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona. She also pursued a postgraduate degree in film scoring in the United States.

In 2016, she was awarded the Communication Research First Prize by the Consell Audiovisual de Catalunya, and an Extraordinary Doctorate Award. The same year, she received a one-year postdoctoral Fulbright scholarship to collaborate with the Institute of Musical Innovation in Los Angeles, California.

Publications

She has published about twenty international articles on Communication, Music, and New Technologies.

Career

She works as a researcher at UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music and divides her time between Barcelona and Los Angeles. Since September 2018, she has been a co-manager at Universal Music Spain.

As the founder of Sweet-Bird, a company dedicated to artistic management, she combines her academic career with professional development in the audiovisual and music industry.
