Career

Ferran Conangla is a specialized sound engineer and artistic producer focused on recording and producing acoustic ensembles, ranging from classical and jazz, to other genres like traditional and pop music. He has also been involved in amplifying classical orchestras in large venues since the '90s.

Since '85, he has worked as a sound professional in different companies in the industry, both in live sound engineering and studio design and recording. Since the '90s, he has specialized in studio recording and production of acoustic ensembles, primarily in jazz and classical music.

His knowledge of acoustics in large spaces, as well as his understanding of instruments, and years of experience as a live sound engineer for major events (including being part of the Sound Direction team for the '92 Olympic Ceremonies, and more than 15 concerts at Palau St.Jordi, etc.), have led him to regularly provide sound engineering for major Spanish symphony orchestras in large outdoor concerts: OBC, OST, OSG, OSV, OCG, etc.

Among other events, he has provided sound engineering for the Orchestra and Chorus of the Gran Teatre del Liceu at Palau St. Jordi (Barcelona), the City of Granada Orchestra at their annual inaugural concert (Granada), the Symphony Orchestra of Galicia at Plaza de Mª Pita (A Coruña), the Orchestra and Choirs of the Community of Madrid at Plaza Mayor (Madrid), the Symphony Orchestra of Tenerife in La Laguna (Tenerife), and the Orquestra Simfònica Nacional de Catalunya-OBC at Sagrada Família (Barcelona).
