Education



Emili Blasco received her first music lessons as a young child under Núria Fàbregas and later enrolled at the Conservatori Superior Municipal de Música de Barcelona, where she graduated with top qualifications in Piano and Chamber Music under the guidance of master Antoni Besses.

He then pursued Postgraduate Studies at the Chopin University in Warsaw for two years, sponsored by Andrzej Stefanski and Edward Wolanin. During this time, he performed recitals in Poland and abroad, receiving the Diploma with top qualifications. It was after this period that he met the eminent pianist Briggite Meyer, who undoubtedly became her great reference, not only in regards to musical and pianistic aspects, but also at a human level. He is also grateful for the lessons received from Frederic Gevers in Antwerp.

Concerts

He has performed concerts at prestigious venues such as Palau de la Música Catalana, Auditori de Barcelona, Auditori Eduard Toldrà, Festival Internacional de Torroella de Montgrí, Festival Castell de Santa Florentina, Fundación Juan March in Madrid, Festival Internacional de Salamanca, Festival de Pasqua de Cervera, Monestir de Sant Pere de Rodes, and more.

He has also given concerts at Lincoln Center in New York (USA), Verona (Italy), and at the Festival de Música Latinoamericana de Caracas, Cracow (Poland), Kalamata (Greece), among others.

Recordings

His discography, released by La Mà de Guido and Ars Harmònica, includes several CDs dedicated to Catalan Music by Eduard Toldrà, Enric Granados, Antoni Massana, Josep Cercós, Josep Lluís Guzmán, Josep Soler, Pau Casals, Felip Pedrell, and more.

he has also recorded works by Manuel de Falla, Alban Berg, and Richard Strauss.

His recordings have been highly praised in both Catalan and Madrid media.

His interest lies in recovering or premiering Catalan musical heritage (Guinjoan, Brotons, Soler, Besses, Comellas, Oltra, Nicolau, Freixas, Alió, Rodamilans, Garreta, Buxó, Pahissa, Mompou, Lamote de Grignon, etc.), through the publication of scores, concerts, and CDs.

Publications

He has been a regular contributor to the magazines Scherzo and Revista CD Compact since the 2000s, writing music and album reviews, and articles on Chopin's piano works, Bach's Goldberg Variations, and more.

Teaching



Since 2017, He has been a Repertoire Pianist for Traditional Instruments at ESMUC, and a Repertoire Pianist at IEA Oriol Martorell, accompanying classical ballet since 2015.

He has extensive experience as an accompanist at conservatories in Vic and Igualada, among others.

He was a piano and Chamber Music teacher at the Escolania de Montserrat from 1998 to 2010.

Currently, he also collaborates as a pianist with the Coral Carmina, with whom he regularly works and performs concerts. he also collaborates with other choirs.

He has collaborated with the OBC and the Conservatori Superior del Liceu.
