Trained musically between Barcelona and New York, he is one of the most representative instrumentalists of our jazz scene.

Education

Classical piano studies with Albert Giménez and Ángel Soler. Jazz studies at the New School in New York with Jackie Byard, Kenny Werner, Fred Hersch, Quest seminars, Jack Walrath, Bob Moses, Kenny Wheeler, Kenny Barron, Cedar Walton private lessons with Sophia Rosoff since 2004, and with Ethan Iverson, Barry Harris, Sal Mosca, Ralph Alessi, Bruce Barth, Frank Kimbrough and Miles Okazaki.
Higher degree in the specialty of jazz piano and modern music performer (ESMUC)

Career



He has given concerts and recitals at various jazz festivals in Europe, Japan, Morocco, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and the United States, and many performances on television programs.

He has been the composer and performer of the soundtrack of Tren de sombras (José Luis Guerín), musical director of the program Paral·lel in Canal 33 (1998-1999) and of the SGAE Composition Competition (1993, 1994).

Steinway artist since March 2007.

Teaching

Professor at the Taller de Músics (1986-1991), at ESMUC since 2002 and at the Liceu Superior Conservatory since 2011, he has given masterclasses in France, Chile, Uruguay, Portugal and Spain and was a teacher at the international meeting of 'jazz schools from 1997 in Cologne.
