Learning outcomes (general objectives)

  1. Apply, to real situations that reflect the diversity inherent to the field of production and management, the knowledge acquired throughout the studies of the speciality.
  2. Experience the specific internal dynamics of the various types of work carried out by music producers and managers, including teamwork.
  3. Immerse oneself in professional situations related to music production and management.
  4. Demonstrate the ability and interest to learn from the situations proposed within the practicum.
  5. Know the protocols and aspects of the internal functioning of ESMUC in order to work with the different areas of the school.
  6. Acquire autonomy to manage activities and processes according to the working procedures of the centre’s teams.

Contents

Experiencing the professional dynamics of production and management in diverse contexts.

Carrying out different specific tasks. Integration and adaptation within already established work teams, including interdisciplinary teams. Adapting and responding to demands in different situations and specific contexts. Contextualised and flexible application of musical and management-related knowledge, skills, experiences and sensitivities.

Internal practices are carried out through participation, together with the professionals who usually undertake these tasks, in the management of the School’s musical projects or in aspects related to the functioning of the centre, according to the profile of the Production and Management speciality.

Teaching methodology

The teaching-learning methodology involves supervision of the internal practices by the staff members responsible for the school’s services or departments where the student carries out the placement.

Assessment systems

The practicum assessment system consists of continuous evaluation by the tutor (through regular group or individual meetings), who assigns the final grade taking into account the reports from the heads of the centre’s areas where the practices are carried out and the submission of a practicum report by the student for each placement.
