Education

He completed his music studies at ESMUC with professors such as Lluís Vidal, Joan Díaz, Joan Monné, Eladio Reinón, Matthew Simon, and Agustí Fernández, among others.

He also received private lessons from Sophia Rosoff, Fred Hersch, and John Taylor.

Concerts

As a performer, he has been a soloist with the ESMUC Symphony Orchestra.

He has participated in the orchestra of "Les Misérables" in Barcelona.

And he also took part in the Cantánea orchestra in 2013.

Recordings

His first solo album as a leader is titled "Why not?", and was recorded in Holland with Joan Terol, Maarten Hogenhuis, Thomas Rolff, Reinier Bass, and Adrià Plana. He also published the work "Consagració (Rite)" for jazz orchestra.

Recently, he released his third album as a leader, inspired by the space race, titled "Sputnik, Explorer and everything after".

With the STN! project, he has recorded two albums with original compositions.

He has also created music for and collaborated with other great musicians such as Gemma Humet, Ferran Savall, Rubén Fernández, Carola Ortiz, Pablo Selnik, Gabriel Amargant, Lluís Vidal, Jorge Rossy, Jordi Matas, and Masa Kamaguchi, among others.

Another significant achievement of his is recording the soundtrack for the movie "7 pasos y medio".

Awards

 



  • First prize in composition at the International Composition Contest of the Silesian Jazz Festival in 2015.




  • Best composer of the year 2015 award from AMJM (Associació de Músics de Jazz i Música Moderna de Catalunya).



Teaching

In addition to being a professor at ESMUC, where he teaches composition and combos, he is also a faculty member at ESEM Taller de Músics, teaching harmony, ear training, combos, and piano.
