Education

She studied Choral Singing, Guitar, Piano, and Vocal Performance at the Conservatori Superior Municipal de Música de Barcelona.

She graduated from Berklee School of Music in Boston, USA, with a Magna cum Laude title in two specialisations: Jazz and Modern Vocal Performance / Musical Arrangements.

She obtained a specific accreditation in Choral Conducting, specialising in Jazz, by the Generalitat de Catalunya.

She received a Bachelor's degree in Jazz and Modern Vocal Performance from the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC).

She has also participated in specialised vocal courses both in Spain and abroad, alongside Gillyanne Kayes, Estill Voicecraft Training Systems, CVT Cathrine Sadolin, and others.

Concerts

Professional activities in classical music choirs such as the Cor del Conservatori Superior Municipal de Música de Barcelona, performing works like Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle.

She took part in zarzuelas and operas such as El Barberillo de Lavapiés, Cosí fan tutte, La Traviata, Il Trovatore, and others.

In the USA, she worked as a vocalist and arranger for Latin orchestras, jazz groups, with performances in clubs, radio, and TV stations in the Massachusetts and New York area.

She has participated in jazz festivals, concerts, and tours throughout Spain with jazz and modern groups as a freelance vocalist/arranger, and as a leader in the groups "Absit Fusion" and "Mireia Lara Trio."

She is a vocalist for the Big Band of the Aula de Música Moderna y Jazz de Barcelona.

She is also the director and vocalist of the a capella gospel/pop group "Vox Seven".

Additionally, she is also the vocalist for the "Manel Camp Jazz Quartet" group with which she performs across Spain. She has collaborated with national and international musicians such as Fernando Tordo, Luc Barretto, Santi Arisa, Loti Lewis, Lautaro Rosas, Francesc Burrull, David Mengual, David Xirgu, Iñaki Salvador, Sergio Moure, Lluís Ribalta, Manel Camp, Ignasi Zamora, Marc Miralta, and Elisabet Raspall, among others.

Recordings

She has been a studio singer for TV series such as "Basket Fever," "Sintonía Municipals '95 CiU," the Christmas campaign "Està arribant el Nadal", and the TV series "Dones d’Aigua," among others.

She has also collaborated as a vocalist and arranger in various album projects: "Flamenco Street Projects" by Thomas Lorenzo, "Tributo a los Laureados Nobel" with Fernando Tordo, and "D’un temps ençà" with Sergio Moure.

She released the album "Still Crazy" in 2010 as a leader, vocalist, and arranger.

Research

Her interests lie in jazz and modern vocal pedagogy, collaborating with Loti Lewis, Arthur Bernstein, Mili Bermejo, Bob Stoloff, Judy Niemack, Maureen Scott, Helen Rowson, Viv Manning, and Gillyanne Kayes. She presented the paper "La formació vocal específica del cantant de jazz" alongside Carme Canela at the Associació Catalana de Professors de Cant (ACPC).

She is a member of the ACPC board of directors.

She is part of the ICON project at The Innovative Conservatoire, an international European research group in music education.

  • She has received scholarships for stays abroad for creators and cultural agents from the Generalitat de Catalunya.




  • She received the "Achievement Award of the Berklee Professional Writing Division".
