Education

He studied at the Superior Conservatories of Valencia and Barcelona with professors V. Romero, J. Talens Sebastià, J. Panyella, and J. Tordera.

Recordings

He has made several recordings for Catalunya Música, RNE, Radio France, and the Dutch Radio, as well as for record labels such as Hyades Arts, Stradivarius, Edicions Moraleda, Anacrusi Contemporània, Columna Música, and Ars Harmónica.

His two recordings for clarinet quintets and string quartets by Mozart, Weber, Krommer, Bärmann, Spohr, and Reicha with the Glinka Quartet have received high praise from the international critics.

He has also recorded the complete works for clarinet by composer Jesús Rodríguez Picó.

He premiered the Quintet de la Sala de Llevant for clarinet, and a string quartet by Xavier Benguerel.

He has served as the clarinet concertmaster for Jordi Cervelló.

He collaborated in the clarinet concert "Llueixes de l'Alba," by Zulema de la Creu, and “Fantasia per a clarinet, entenimentades i petita percussió” by Juan Medina, both works dedicated to him.

Career

In the chamber music field, he is the co-founder of groups such as Harmonia Quintet de Vent, Barcelona 216, Diabolus in Musica, and Kammart ensemble.

His extensive career in this domain has led to collaborations with numerous acclaimed ensembles and performers, including the Glinka Quartet, Quiroga Quartet, Orpheus Quartet, Solistas de Ibercámara, and pianists Albert Atenelle, Eulàlia Solé, Xavier Dolç, Àngel Puig, and Dolors Cano, among others.

Since 2005, he has formed a duo with Isabel Hernández, with whom he has recorded the album "Música virtuosa para clarinete y piano," vol. I, II, and III, featuring Brahms' two sonatas and a homage to Weber and Rossini, which have been well-received by critics.

Teaching

He has been a clarinet and chamber music professor at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) since its inception and has been with the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya (OBC) since 1993.
