Education

Piano jazz. Self-taught.

Concerts

He has performed with musicians such as Jorge Rossi, Bob Sands, Perico Sambeat, Niño Josele, Mike Mossman, Chris Higgins, and Paolo Fresu at Jazz Festivals. He has accompanied singers like Silvia Pérez, Judit Nedermann, Andrea Motis, or Gemma Humet. He has been a pianist for various big bands, including the Terrassa Big Band, collaborating with musicians of the calibre of Robin Eubanks or Randy Brecker. He was also the pianist for the Big Band of the Jazzaldia Festival on its 40th anniversary, directed by Bob Sands, alongside top-notch musicians from the national scene.

His performance activity has taken him to stages in different countries – either with his own projects or as a sideman – in Europe, Africa, and America.

In the non-jazz field, he has toured with Skatalà and Marc Parrot.

Recordings

He has recorded over 60 albums, both as a leader and sideman. As a leader, notable recordings include “Mostrebú,” “We sing Bill Evans Introducing Silvia Perez” (Enderrock Award from the critics), “Benestar” (featuring Perico Sambeat), “Coses que es diuen però que no es fan” (with The New Catalan Ensemble and Andrea Motis), and “Live at Kursaal” (with El Niño Josele).

He has worked as a composer for film and TV soundtracks, including “Homenots” (Sergi Schaaf), “Hotel Room,” “Krampack,” B.S.O, “En la ciudad” (Cesc Gay), documentaries, and advertising.

Teaching

He has been a professor of jazz piano, combos, and ear training at the Taller de Músics. At Musikene, he has taught piano, combos, and harmony, while at ESMUC, he has taught piano, combos, improvisation, and composition.
