Education

He was born in Saint Petersburg (Russia) in 1974. He received his professional training at the State Conservatory of Saint Petersburg, obtaining the Superior Diploma in 1997. In the same year, he was accepted to study with the renowned Russian pianist Dmitri Bashkirov at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid. He furthered his studies at the École Normale de Musique d'Alfred Cortot in Paris, obtaining the Diplôme Superieur de Pianiste Concertiste premier nommé à l'unanimité.

He has participated in masterclasses with Karl Ulrich Schnabel, Rosalyn Tureck, Murray Perahia, Maria João Pires, Claude Frank, Alexis Weissenberg, Arie Vardi, and Michel Béroff.

Concerts

He made his debut as a soloist at the age of nineteen in the Grand Hall of the Philharmonic in Saint Petersburg, accompanied by the Philharmonic Orchestra, performing Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. Since then, he has performed in many cities in Russia and Europe and has been part of various music festivals.

He has participated in masterclasses with Karl Ulrich Schnabel, Rosalyn Tureck, Murray Perahia, Maria João Pires, Claude Frank, Alexis Weissenberg, Arie Vardi, and Michel Béroff

In 2001, he gave his first recital in Germany, as part of the Ruhr Piano Festival, where he performed Beethoven's last piano sonata, the Brahms/Paganini Variations, de Brahms / Paganini, Ravel's Gaspard and Scriabin's Fifth Piano Sonata. Ha actuat a l’Auditori Nacional de Madrid, Saragossa i Barcelona i ha participat en concerts de cambra dedicats a Brahms, Franck i Shostakovich.

Teaching

In 2007, he began his teaching career at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid, and in 2010, he was invited to be the Assistant Professor in the Piano Chair of Dimitri Bashkirov.

Since the 2021 academic year, he has been an Adjunct Professor in the Piano Chair of Maestros Milana Chernyavska and Claudio Martínez Mehner at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, and since 2014, he has been a Piano Professor at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya.
