Education

After completing his classical training, he began his studies in jazz violin with Ernesto Briceño at the Modern Music and Jazz Department at the Conservatori del Liceu (2007-2010). He continued his studies at ESMUC with Oriol Saña, and at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland, under Henryk Gembalski (2013), becoming the first graduate in jazz violin in Spain (2010-2015, ESMUC). He furthered his studies in New York at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music (2015-2016), where he studied with Christian Howes. He has been awarded the second prize twice at the International Zbigniew Seifert Jazz Violin Competition (2014 and 2016).

Concerts


He has performed concerts both nationally and internationally, playing and touring in venues and festivals in Catalonia, Spain, Poland, Hungary, Italy, and the United States.




















In the area of ​​jazz he has directed his own formations and worked with musicians such as Lluís Vidal, David Xirgu, Dani Pérez, Manel Fortià, Pawel Kaczmarczyk, Stanislaw Slowinski or Taulant Mehmeti. He is part of the BAO (Barcelona Art Orchestra) and the OMAC (Orchestra de Músiques d'Arrel de Catalunya), and accompanies pop and traditional song artists such as David Mauricio, Marala Trio, Clara Fiol or Selma Bruna. He has also collaborated with groups such as Txarango or Els Pets.

He has recorded with various formations in the field of jazz, pop, song and roots music.

Career








Teaching

He has been a teacher of jazz violin and combo at ESMUC since 2018, and at Taller de Músics (ESEM and School) since 2017. He has given workshops and masterclasses in improvisation, jazz and modern music for plucked string instruments at the Bellaterra Conservatory, the Tortosa Conservatory and the Barcelona Fiddle Congress.
