- Manipulate electronic components and build transduction devices for musical purposes.
Contents
Electrical engineering principles applied to recording studio equipment. Historical development of sound recording and reproduction systems. Operation of measuring instruments. Objective measurement of the quality of sound reproduction equipment. Diagnosis of faulty components, including cable continuity and electronic components. Construction of sensors for musical interfaces.
Teaching methodology
The teaching and learning methodology includes lectures, discussion and seminar sessions, group work, and student presentations.
