Every year ESMUC awards two prizes with very different characteristics and objectives:
The Joan Guinjoan International Award for Young Composers, aimed at composers and songwriters under 35 years of age, of all nationalities.
The ESMUC Award for Baccalaureate Research Work, for the best Baccalaureate research work in Catalonia, on any subject related to music, which has been presented during the academic year.
