
Marc Aixa Siurana obtained both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. During his studies, he was a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra [EUYO] and the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester [GMJO]. He later joined the Academy of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam. Through this work, he has had the opportunity to perform under the direction of internationally renowned conductors such as Mariss Jansons, Daniele Gatti, Andris Nelsons, Semyon Bychkov, Herbert Blomstedt, and Sir John Eliot Gardiner, among others.
He develops the position of principal timpani with the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra | Netherlands Chamber Orchestra. Alongside this role, he leads his own ensemble, Music Collective Amsterdam, of which he is the founder and musical director.
Currently serving exclusively as a faculty member at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC).
