Pre-registration and Enrollment

Masters

To access the selection process for any of the master’s degrees offered by ESMUC, whether official or proprietary, you must pre-register online. At the time of registration, you must pay €30 for the processing service. If you request pre-registration for more than one program, you must pay €30 for each one. These amounts will only be refundable if, once the applications have been accepted, ESMUC withdraws the course.

Once the payment has been made, ESMUC will contact the applicant to request the documentation required for the admission process and a digital copy of the degree that gives access to the studies. In accordance with the provisions of Article 15 of Royal Decree 1614/2009, of October 26, students may be admitted to the master’s degree if they meet the specific requirements and merit assessment criteria specific to the master’s degree.

ESMUC will communicate the resolution of the acceptance request the week after the close of each registration period.

  • Pre-registering for the first call allows you to have more time to complete the different procedures. We recommend that you do not wait until the last days of each term to have enough time in case you are missing any documents.

  • Applications will be responded to within a maximum of ten working days. Once the pre-registration is completed and validated by the respective master’s degree management units, they will be transferred to the coordination and management of each master’s degree for assessment, selection and authorization of enrollment, if applicable.

In the specific case of the Master of Lied, the entrance exam is in person and requires the presentation of a repertoire of between 15 and 20 minutes with works in different languages ​​and in different styles within this genre. For the 2023-24 academic year, this exam will take place on May 27 and 28 in the ESMUC Choir Room.

This master’s degree opens the second registration period (from May 22 to June 23) exclusively for pianists or already trained duos.

Remember that:

  • You must enroll in a minimum of 24 credits per course.

  • Enrollment is the responsibility of each student, who is obliged to know and respect the regulations, both academic and financial, regarding this procedure.

  • The validity of the registration is conditional on the veracity of the data, compliance with the applicable legal requirements and regulations and full payment within the established deadlines.

  • The student will not be entitled to a refund of amounts already paid for tuition, except in cases of error attributable to the school.

Once the registration period has ended, students who have not registered or contacted the master’s management units reporting any problems or impediments  will lose their place.

People who have Honors Degree for the Final Degree Project or Final Degree Concert, in addition to marking the corresponding option, must send the supporting document to the master’s administrative management unit.

Bonificacions aplicables als màsters oficials
The following exemptions and bonuses do not apply to own master’s degrees or university master’s degrees:

Large or single-parent family

People who belong to a large family in the general category or a single-parent family will obtain a 50% reduction in the price of the credit when registering. If they belong to a large family in the special category, the reduction will be 100%. In both cases, the relevant documentation must be presented. In accordance with the legislation, these reductions can only be applied to people of Spanish nationality or to non-Spaniards who meet the requirements set out in Law 40/2003, of 18 November, on the Protection of Large Families (BOE 277 of 19 November 2003).

Honors degrees

Graduates who have obtained the qualification of matriculation with honors in one or more subjects of the fourth year of a Bachelor’s degree or in an official Master’s degree at ESMUC, in the academic year prior to that of enrollment, may request a discount of the corresponding amount of an equivalent number of credits. This discount will be applied to the credits enrolled for the first time and in the enrollment of the immediately following academic year.

Disabled people

Students with a degree of disability equal to or greater than 33% are entitled to total exemption from the public prices set out in this document. This condition must be proven by presenting any of the documents provided for by current regulations.

Victims of terrorist acts

People who have been victims of terrorist acts, as well as their spouse and children, are entitled to a total exemption from the cost of their tuition fees. This condition is proven by presenting the corresponding administrative resolution. In the case of the spouse and children, the family book must also be attached.

Victims of gender violence

Victims of gender violence, as well as their dependent children, are entitled to a total exemption from the cost of their tuition credits. This condition is proven by presenting any of the documents provided for by current regulations, as well as the family book in the case of dependent children.

ESMUC card

In order to have the School card and access its services, it is essential to upload a photograph to the academic management program (Còdex). 

Lockers

Students who require it can have a locker for large or heavy instruments. The lockers are distributed throughout the halls and corridors of the center, and are provided for a renewable academic year.
