Learning outcomes (general objectives)
- Explain and relate the electrical and magnetic concepts and phenomena that enable the functioning of sound‑generation and amplification devices, as well as digital computers.
- Demonstrate mastery of basic procedures for verification, maintenance and repair of electronic components.
Contents
Electricity and magnetism. Units, instruments and measuring devices. Analogue electronics. Voltage‑controlled musical and sound systems. Sensors. Digital electronics. Computer electronics. Digital signal processors.
Teaching methodology
Teaching–learning methodology includes lectures (topic presentations), debate and discussion sessions, group work sessions and student presentations.
Assessment systems
Continuous assessment based on diagnostic evaluation and formalised through summative assessment leading to the final grade. Assessment records derive from class participation and work, presentation of assignments, completion of tasks and/or readings outside class, submission of written work, or written and oral examinations.
