He has played and recorded with numerous ensembles such as Orquestrina Galana, the Orchestra of the TV3 programme Bojos pel Ball, as well as Quintet Fibonacci, Portàtil FM, De Calaix, and with singers like Marina Rosell, Joan Isaac, Miquel Pujadó, Rah-mon Roma, Mirna, among others.

He is a double bassist, composer, and educator specialising in traditional and fusion-traditional music. He is an interpreter, composer, and conductor of Marcel Casellas and the la Principal de la Nit So Insistent.

He has conceived various speculative musical projects based on traditional Catalan music, such as: Transardània, Casellas-Sextet-Folk, the Orquestra dels Sòns Essencials, and Estramp ja.

He has composed film soundtracks, chamber works of various formats, and compositions for various traditional folk dances and sardanas.

Since 2003, he has been a professor of Improvisation and Fusion-Traditional Catalan Ensemble at ESMUC.

From 1992 to 2003, he served as the director of the Aula de Música Tradicional i Popular of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
