Education

A student of Sergio Pasteris and Gary Graden for conducting, he served as an assistant to Antoni Ros Marbà, Victor Pablo Pérez, Giovanni Antonini, Gottfried von der Goltz, and Jordi Savall. After studying at his citie’s Conservatory, he was selected for the Extraordinary Conducting Course with Carlo Maria Giulini in 1999.

Concerts

He has collaborated as a harpsichordist and organist with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI under conductors such as Jeffrey Tate, Rafael FRÜBECK de Burgos, Roberto Abbado, Robert King, and Ton Koopman.

In 2001, he made his debut as a conductor in Turin with the RAI Choir performing Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle, and the following year, he conducted Mozart's Requiem in Bologna.

In 2010, he made his debut with the Orchestra Regionale Toscana by invitation of Aldo Bennici, conducting Mozart's Symphony No. 39.

Simultaneously, he has developed a significant international career as a soloist on harpsichord/organ and as an accompanist for artists such as Cecilia Bartoli, Sara Mingardo, Christoph Prégardien, Giuliano Carmignola, Paolo Pandolfo, and Jordi Savall.

Recordings

He has recorded over fifty CDs for prestigious record labels such as Decca, Teldec, Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, Accent, Arcana, etc. His recordings of Bach's "Goldberg Variations" and Pasquini's "Sonate per gravecembalo" have been awarded the Diapason d'Or.

Career

Born in 1977, Luca Guglielmi has been engaged in intense international professional activities since 1993, including concerts as a performer on harpsichord, clavichord, organ, and fortepiano; collaborating with significant figures in the concert scene (Jordi Savall, Cecilia Bartoli, Il Giardino Armonico), as well as conducting choral ensembles and orchestras, composition, and teaching (ESMUC in Barcelona).

Teaching

He has been a professor of harpsichord, organ, fortepiano, and baroque/classical orchestra at the Courses of Ancient Music in Pamparato (Italy), San Feliu de Guíxols (Catalonia), Barbaste (France), and Urbino (Italy).
