Coppola Lorenzo

Education

He was a student of Eric Hoeprich in the historical clarinet class at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, obtaining his final diploma.

Concerts

From 1991 to 1995, he collaborated with specialised ensembles in the performance of baroque and classical music with historical instruments:

Les Arts Florissants (W. Christie), La Petite Bande (S. Kuijken), Orchestra del XVIII secolo (F. Brüggen), Freiburger Barockorchester (G. von der Goltz), La Grande Ecurie et la Chambre du Roy (JC Malgoire).

He performs with chamber music ensembles such as:

Kuijken Quartet (S. Kuijken), Ensemble Philidor, Ensemble Zefiro (A. Bernardini), Académie St. Cécile (P. Couvert), Manon Quartett (A. Daskalakis).

Recordings

He has recorded several pieces from Mozart's clarinet repertoire (Serenades KV 375 & 388, Gran Partita KV 370, Quintet KV 581 for clarinet and strings, Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra KV622), collaborating with Ensemble Zefiro, Ensemble Philidor, Quartet Kuijken, Freiburger Barockorchester), for record labels such as: Harmonia Mundi, Callyope, Astrée-Auvidis.

Teaching

He has been a teacher in early music courses in Prato (from 1993 to 1999), Urbino (1998 and 2006), Caixa de Barcelona (Cádiz 1999, Castellón de la Plana 2000), Casa de Mateus (2002, 2003).
