Born in Barcelona, Carme Canela is one of the most recognized voices in the jazz scene in our country.
Her musical experience includes collaborations with international and Spanish jazz musicians such as Guillermo Klein, Bruce Barth, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Lluís Vidal, Joan Albert Amargós, Perico Sambeat, David Mengual, Dani Pérez, Gorka Benítez, Horacio Fumero, Iñaki Salvador, Jordi Bonell, Bernardo Sassetti, and Agustí Fernández.
She has collaborated with various ensembles, including Guillermo Klein y Los Guachos, the Orquestra de Cambra del Teatre Lliure, the Albert Guinovart Ensemble, La Orquestra Nacional de Càmara d’Andorra (ONCA), La Big Band del Taller de Músics, and the Big Band Jazz de Terrassa.
She has performed concerts and tours in several countries such as Italy, Portugal, Morocco, Israel, France, Argentina, and Uruguay.
Carme has sung at prestigious venues like "The Village Vanguard" in New York with Guillermo Klein y Los Guachos and at Zankell Hall in Carnegie Hall, New York, as a guest artist in Laura Simó's show "Sueño Inmaterial".
