ESMUC Piano Fòrum was established in 2014 by ESMUC’s Department of Classical and Contemporary Music with the aim of creating a space for knowledge, reflection and exchange around piano performance and its technical and artistic development.

Held annually over a weekend, Piano Fòrum provides a meeting point for piano performers, teachers and students from across Catalonia and beyond. The event offers an opportunity to share experiences and perspectives on the processes of piano learning and training, from the early stages through to higher education.

Each edition focuses on one or more topics related to piano performance and pedagogy, with the participation of leading figures from the musical field and ESMUC’s piano faculty. The programme combines different formats, including discussions, workshops, masterclasses, lectures and concerts, offering a broad and diverse perspective on performance practice.

Over the years, ESMUC Piano Fòrum has established itself as a leading space for meeting, dialogue and shared reflection on piano education and performance.
