Education


  • Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education with a specialisation in Music Education from the Universidad de Seville in the 2016/2017 promotion.

  • Middle Grade degree in Flamenco Singing from the Conservatorio Profesional de Música "Cristóbal de Morales" in Seville, in the 2012/2013 promotion. Studied under the guidance of Manuel Vera, "El Quincalla," and Miguel Ortega, who were strong influences and classical repertoire mentors.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Flamenco Singing from the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) in the 2018/2019 promotion. Vocal Technique and Jazz Singing were notable complementary subjects due to Laura's personal interest in this field.

Concerts

She has worked as a singer for dance performances in tablaos such as Casa de la Guitarra, Flamenquería, Ribes de Triana, Casala Teatro, Teatro Quintero, etc.; collaborating with great flamenco artists from Seville.

Currently in Barcelona, she performs in various venues including Jazzi from Taller de Músics, flamenco tablaos like Palau Dalmases, Tarantos, El Cordobés, or El Carmen, and prestigious auditoriums such as the Auditori de Barcelona or the Palau de la Música.

She has participated in numerous Flamenco Festivals and Encounters, such as:

Recordings

In 2022, she received a scholarship from the Paco de Lucía Foundation and the Música Creativa Foundation in Madrid to develop her most personal project, "La Teoría de los afectos", which involved collaborations with artists like Sara Baras and Josemi Carmona. The project is currently in the recording phase and will be her debut album.

She is also a member and vocalist of the Borne Flamenco Cía, which resulted in the recording of an EP available on digital platforms, under the name "Cuatro de Cabales".

She collaborates as a backing vocalist on the albums of admired colleagues such as Pablo Gómez Molina, Julio Marín, and the new album of Sílvia Pérez Cruz.

Throughout her career, she has achieved recognition in the world of flamenco competitions and has been a finalist in various contests, including:

She has received the following awards:

  • 2nd Prize in the "Concurso de Jóvenes Flamencos Mairena del Aljarafe" in 2016.

  • 1st Prize in the “Joven” category at the Concurso Nacional de Cante Flamenco Antonio Mairena.

  • 1st Prize in the Concurso Nacional de Cante Flamenco in La Llagosta, Barcelona 2018.

  • 3rd Prize in the Concurso de Cante “Naranjito de Triana” Cristina Heeren, Sevilla 2021.

  • 1st Prize at the Nacional Yunque Flamenco in the “Best classified in Catalonia” category, Barcelona 2022

Career

She provided the vocals for the character Candela in the work "El amor brujo" alongside the Joaquín Turina Association Orchestra (Seville), conducted by José Manuel Bernal, director of the Banda Filarmónica Ntra. Sra. de la Oliva de Salteras (Seville), and with the Jove Orquestra Nacional Simfònica de Catalunya (JONC), at the Auditori de Barcelona under the direction of Carlos Checa in May 2019.

She has also had experiences in the world of cinema, acting and singing in the film "Alma Quebrada" by Gonzalo García Pelayo in 2022, as well as in the film "La Imagen Permanente" by Laura Ferrés in 2022.

Teaching

She has worked as a professor for the Flamenco Biennial of Seville, conducting Flamenco workshops and school activities for children of all ages in primary education for two consecutive courses: 2016/17 and 2017/18; 2018/2019 and 2019/2020, and 2020-2021.
