Born in Amposta, he began his musical studies at La Lira Ampostina. He later trained at CSMMB with Josep Julià, where he received the Honor Awards upon completing the Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. He continued his studies at the Musik-Akademie der Stadt Basel, where he obtained the Concertist Diploma, and later pursued a Master’s degree in the Netherlands with Alfredo Bernardini.
He has participated in numerous recordings for labels such as Virgin, Deutsche Grammophon, Harmonia Mundi, Sony, and Linn, among others.
In 2006, he won First Prize at the International Competition in Bruges (Belgium).
He has worked with multiple orchestras, performing repertoire ranging from the Baroque to the 20th century, always following historically informed performance practices. He has collaborated with conductors such as Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Jordi Savall, Giovanni Antonini, Philippe Herreweghe, Sir Simon Rattle, Teodor Currentzis, René Jacobs, among others, and with orchestras such as:

Currently, he is the principal oboist of the Freiburger Barockorchester (Germany).
He has been a professor at the "Conservatoire de Toulouse" and the "Musikhochschule der Kunst Bremen" and is currently a full professor at the University of the Arts in Amsterdam (Conservatorium van Amsterdam) and at ESMUC. He works closely with oboe maker Pau Orriols.
