Education

He obtained a diploma from the Real Conservatorio de Madrid and the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (under Jaap Schröder), in addition to studying Philosophy at the Universidad Complutense.

Career

He performs and records as a soloist worldwide, serves as concertmaster for various historical orchestras in Europe, America, and Japan; and holds the position of Principal Viola in the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century in Amsterdam. He is the director of La Real Cámara and El Concierto Español, as well as the founder of the Glossa record label.

Teaching

He is a professor and head of the Department of Early Music at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya, ESMUC. He has also been an associate professor at the Geidai University of Arts in Tokyo, and he offers master classes around the world.
