Career

Diego Naser is a conductor, violist and violinist, he has played in orchestras such as the Hamburg Camerata, Kiel Philharmonic, Hamburg Radio Orchestra NDR, Vienna Wiener Kammerphilharmonie and the West Eastern Divan Orchestra of Maestro Daniel Barenboim , performing at the main music festivals in Europe such as the Salzburg Festival, Lucerne Festival, Waldbühne in Berlin and the BBC Proms in London.

He has directed major ballet and opera productions such as "The Consecration of Spring", "The Carnival of the Animals", "Peter and the Wolf", "Don Quijote", "Carmina Burana", "La Sylphide", "Telemaco nell ' Isola di Calipso” and “Madama Butterfly” in addition to symphonic concerts in Mexico, Luxembourg, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Panama, Austria, Portugal, Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, Romania and Spain, among others.

He was the principal music conductor of the national symphony orchestra of Uruguay, resident guest conductor of the orchestra of the Americas, master preparer of the national youth orchestra of Uruguay. He has collaborated with artists such as Pinchas Zuckerman, Amanda Forsyth, Francesca Dego, Shlomo Mintz, Michael Barenboim, Gustavo Nuñez or Carlo Ventre, among others.

Teaching

In the educational field, he directed the superior school of music of the system of children's and youth orchestras in Uruguay, as well as his collaborations as an artist and guest teacher of the Conservatorio itinerante Inocente Carreño de Caracas - Venezuela, Academia del Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Conservatorio de Logroño - Rioja, and Instituto Veracruzano de la Cultura de México.

He is currently professor of orchestral conducting at ESMUC.
