Daniel Perpiñan

Education

In 1997 he obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the Conservatorio Superior de Valencia. He then moved to London until 2000 to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Eric Creus, Simon Wills, Peter Guanyi, and John Kenny.

Career

During his formative years, he was part of the Orquesta de Jóvenes del Mediterráneo, the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España, the European Union Youth Orchestra, and the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester.
Subsequently, he has collaborated with most of the Spanish orchestras and abroad with ensembles such as the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Bologna Mozart Orchestra, and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra under the baton of maestro Claudio Abbado, among others. Currently, he is the principal trombonist of the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra.

Teaching

He has worked as a professor at the Conservatorio Superior de Música del País Vasco and the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón, as well as in numerous youth orchestra workshops. Currently, he is a trombone professor at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya.
