Over its eight previous editions, the conference has steadily become a point of reference for performers, educators and scholars wishing to discuss music beyond the usual boundaries between disciplines and institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The involvement of the Museu de la M\u00fasica de Barcelona as a co-organising institution has, in recent editions, been one of the project&#8217;s great successes: the Keyboard Hall, with its splendid acoustics, has proved to be a uniquely inspiring space for the sessions. This journey has brought remarkable qualitative success \u2014 not least in the open, rigorous tone of the discussions it fosters \u2014 which we now wish to consolidate and grow further in scope and participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this ninth edition, the conference welcomes a new institutional partner, the Department of Pedagogy, whose involvement naturally broadens the scope of discussion to pedagogical questions that were, in fact, already present. His commitment to applying a comprehensive musical analysis (or &#8220;with senses&#8221;) to conservatory studies has often led him to present his research at previous editions of the <em>Jornades<\/em>.<br><br><strong>Maria Gabry\u015b<\/strong><br><em>Polish pianist and pedagogue, an expert on Chopin and historical pianos. <\/em>Head of Department of Historical Keyboard Instruments at the Fyderyk Chopin University, Warsaw. Her dual role as performer and scholar of period instruments makes her a leading voice on historically informed performance and its relationship to piano pedagogy.<br><br><strong>Kostas Chardas<\/strong><br><em>Greek musicologist and pianist, specialising in the work of Mikis Theodorakis. <\/em>Aristotle University, Thessaloniki. His musicological research offers a hermeneutic perspective on the analysis and interpretation of the twentieth-century repertoire, in direct dialogue with the theme of our conference.
