class=\"gutentor-text\">In order to be admitted to higher artistic education in music, the student must meet the academic requirement of Baccalaureate and pass the School&#8217;s entrance examination.&nbsp;<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Academic requirements<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"section-g554467\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e7 section-g554467 gutentor-element gutentor-element-list\"><ul class=\"grid-row gutentor-grid-item-wrap list-indicator-icon\"><li class=\"gutentor-list-item grid-lg-12 grid-md-12 grid-12\"><span class=\"gutentor-single-item gutentor-single-item-0\"><span class=\"gutentor-list-item-wrap g-s-list-wrap\"><span class=\"gutentor-single-list-item-icon\"><i class=\"list-item-icon fas fa-angle-right\"><\/i><\/span><span class=\"gutentor-list-item\"><p class=\"gutentor-single-item-title\">The high school diploma,<\/p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li><li class=\"gutentor-list-item class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><p class=\"gutentor-text\">The documentation to be submitted is the diploma or receipt. Only students who have finished LOE baccalaureate in the same year as the entrance test take place can alternatively submit a certification in which it is stated that they are to be issued the pertinent qualification.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"section-g191902\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-g191902 gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><p class=\"gutentor-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esmuc.cat\/estudis\/grau\/acces-i-admissio\/requisits\/normatives-que-regulen-les-equivalencies\/\">Regulations governing equivalences<\/a><\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Students without academic requirements<\/strong><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"section-gc395fb\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-gc395fb gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><p class=\"gutentor-text\">Applicants who do not meet this requirement may take an official <a href=\"https:\/\/urldefense.com\/v3\/__https:\/\/triaeducativa.gencat.cat\/ca\/proves\/proves-acces\/artistics-superiors\/sense-requisit\/__;!!D9dNQwwGXtA!Rw7bhRRSU-5NX3A4jh7IDnyuve6k5NhWnTUyaiXLOzAxmQHUV_OfJF1HLp5a4WEYi8RrX7xEiiMFMXpuWZY$\">examination regulated and organized annually by the Department of Education<\/a>, which certifies the level of maturity required in relation to the objectives of the baccalaureate.<br><br><strong>Participation requirements<\/strong><br>This examination is aimed at individuals between 16 years old (turning 16 in 2025) and 18 years old who wish to access higher artistic education programs in music or dance without meeting the academic admission requirement. Eligible candidates include students within this age range who are currently enrolled in the 6th year of professional music or dance education, or who have passed the entrance exam for the 6th year of the professional program, and who wish to enter higher studies in music or dance.<br>If no entrance exam for the 6th year of a specific specialization is scheduled, the applicant may request to take it through the Special Education Programs Office (Servei d\u2019Ordenaci\u00f3 dels Ensenyaments de R\u00e8gim Especial) at Via Augusta 202-226, Barcelona. The application period will be from April 1 to April 4, 2025.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/section>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"02f4ff\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-m6-item section-02f4ff gutentor-module gutentor-module-accordion-item\"><div class=\"gutentor-module-accordion-panel g-a-panel-d231bb\"><div class=\"gm-ah-d231bb gutentor-module-accordion-item-heading gutentor-module-icon-position-right\"><span class=\"gutentor-module-accordion-panel-handler\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"gutentor-module-accordion-panel-handler-label\">Transfer of files<\/span><span class=\"gutentor-module-accordion-icon\"><i class=\"gm-aio-d231bb gutentor-module-accordion-icon-open fas fa-plus\"><\/i><i class=\"gm-aic-d231bb gutentor-module-accordion-icon-close fas fa-minus\"><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/div><div class=\"gm-ab-d231bb gutentor-module-accordion-body\">\n<div id=\"section-g25339e\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-g25339e gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><p class=\"gutentor-text\">Resolution ENS \/ 2969\/2011, 21 November<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"section-g119f81\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-g119f81 gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><h4 class=\"gutentor-text\"><\/h4><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"section-gf37c53\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-gf37c53 gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><p class=\"gutentor-text\">Students from other higher music centers in Spain can request a transfer of files to continue their studies at Esmuc. If the transfer is accepted, the Esmuc will contact the student&#8217;s center of origin to request the necessary documentation.&nbsp;<br><br>If the subjects have been taken in non-state centres, but within the European Higher Education Area, the applicant will need to provide, in addition to all the required documentation, the grading system of the country where the subjects were taken, in order to establish equivalence.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"section-gfc5bb8\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-gfc5bb8 gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><h5 class=\"gutentor-text\">Applications<\/h5><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esmuc.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Sollicitud-de-trasllat-dexpedient-n.pdf\">file transfer application<\/a> must be completed by April 30th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following documentation must be attached:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"section-g593b62\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e7 section-g593b62 gutentor-element gutentor-element-list\"><ul class=\"grid-row gutentor-grid-item-wrap list-indicator-icon\"><li class=\"gutentor-list-item grid-lg-12 grid-md-12 grid-12\"><span class=\"gutentor-single-item gutentor-single-item-0\"><span class=\"gutentor-list-item-wrap g-s-list-wrap\"><span class=\"gutentor-single-list-item-icon\"><i class=\"list-item-icon fas fa-angle-right\"><\/i><\/span><span class=\"gutentor-list-item\"><p class=\"gutentor-single-item-title\">Motivational letter.<\/p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li><li class=\"gutentor-list-item grid-lg-12 grid-md-12 grid-12\"><span class=\"gutentor-single-item gutentor-single-item-1\"><span class=\"gutentor-list-item-wrap g-s-list-wrap\"><span class=\"gutentor-single-list-item-icon\"><i class=\"list-item-icon fas fa-angle-right\"><\/i><\/span><span class=\"gutentor-list-item\"><p class=\"gutentor-single-item-title\">A resume of up to 300 words.<\/p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li><li class=\"gutentor-list-item grid-lg-12 grid-md-12 grid-12\"><span class=\"gutentor-single-item gutentor-single-item-2\"><span class=\"gutentor-list-item-wrap g-s-list-wrap\"><span class=\"gutentor-single-list-item-icon\"><i class=\"list-item-icon fas fa-angle-right\"><\/i><\/span><span class=\"gutentor-list-item\"><p class=\"gutentor-single-item-title\">For requests for transfers of the specialties of Management (A sample of a real practice of management in front of a training), Interpretation and Pedagogy, an audiovisual recording of 10 to 20 minutes that will be sent with a link that will indicate in the application. The recording must be done with a fixed camera and must include the image and sound of the applicant. It is essential that the date of registration is also stated; this will have been done during the last 6 months.<\/p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li><li class=\"gutentor-list-item grid-lg-12 grid-md-12 grid-12\"><span class=\"gutentor-single-item gutentor-single-item-3\"><span class=\"gutentor-list-item-wrap g-s-list-wrap\"><span class=\"gutentor-single-list-item-icon\"><i class=\"list-item-icon fas fa-angle-right\"><\/i><\/span><span class=\"gutentor-list-item\"><p class=\"gutentor-single-item-title\">A copy of the updated academic transcript of the center where the studies are being conducted.<\/p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li><li class=\"gutentor-list-item grid-lg-12 grid-md-12 grid-12\"><span class=\"gutentor-single-item gutentor-single-item-4\"><span class=\"gutentor-list-item-wrap g-s-list-wrap\"><span class=\"gutentor-single-list-item-icon\"><i class=\"list-item-icon fas fa-angle-right\"><\/i><\/span><span class=\"gutentor-list-item\"><p class=\"gutentor-single-item-title\">Other documents or audiovisual media that the applicant deems appropriate.<\/p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"section-g8ba8ac\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-g8ba8ac gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><p class=\"gutentor-text\">All documentation will be sent by e-mail to <a href=\"mailto:secretaria.academica@esmuc.cat\">secretaria.academica@esmuc.cat<\/a> indicating in the subject: TRANSFER OF FILE.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"section-g92f6df\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-g92f6df gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><h5 class=\"gutentor-text\"><br>Resolutions<\/h5><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"section-g147705\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-g147705 gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><p class=\"gutentor-text\">Resolutions will be communicated in writing to the applicant via the email indicated before May 31st.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"section-g634426\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-g634426 gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><h5 class=\"gutentor-text\"><br>Enrolment<\/h5><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"section-g70383b\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-g70383b gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><p class=\"gutentor-text\">If the transfer of the file is accepted, the Academic Secretary will contact the student to complete the registration. It will be necessary, before formalizing it, to prepare the credit recognition sheet with the Academic Secretary. As indicated in the regulations, the Esmuc will recognize all the credits passed by the student. The tuition fee for these credits will be 25%.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"section-g04005f\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-g04005f gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><p class=\"gutentor-text\"><\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"section-g7ed835\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-g7ed835 gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><h5 class=\"gutentor-text\">Students enrolled in the Esmuc<\/h5><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"section-gf9c302\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-gf9c302 gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><p class=\"gutentor-text\">Esmuc students who wish to transfer their file to another Spanish higher music center must follow the procedure and deadlines established by the destination center. If the destination center accepts the transfer, the transfer center will notify Esmuc and request the corresponding documentation.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"f4cf02\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-m6-item section-f4cf02 gutentor-module gutentor-module-accordion-item\"><div class=\"gutentor-module-accordion-panel g-a-panel-d231bb\"><div class=\"gm-ah-d231bb gutentor-module-accordion-item-heading gutentor-module-icon-position-right\"><span class=\"gutentor-module-accordion-panel-handler\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"gutentor-module-accordion-panel-handler-label\">Second and subsequent degrees<\/span><span class=\"gutentor-module-accordion-icon\"><i class=\"gm-aio-d231bb gutentor-module-accordion-icon-open fas fa-plus\"><\/i><i class=\"gm-aic-d231bb gutentor-module-accordion-icon-close fas fa-minus\"><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/div><div class=\"gm-ab-d231bb gutentor-module-accordion-body\">\n<div id=\"section-gf374af\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-gf374af gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><p class=\"gutentor-text\">People who have already completed higher studies in music, either at the Esmuc or at another official center in Spain, and who wish to study a second degree (or later) must take the entrance exams and indicate in the inscription this circumstance expressly. Please note that it is not allowed to study more than one degree at a time at Esmuc, or at two official music centers at the same time.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"section-g015a16\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-g015a16 gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><p class=\"gutentor-text\">If you are admitted, and before formalizing the registration, you will need to request an interview with the Academic Secretary in order to determine which subjects will be recognized in the new degree and the procedure to be followed. The student will pay 25% of the price per credit of those subjects that are recognized.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"section-gfb42cf\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-gfb42cf gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><p class=\"gutentor-text\">Instead, a surcharge of 40% of the price of the credit will be applied to them in the subjects they will take in the new degree..<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"73f75f\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-m6-item section-73f75f gutentor-module gutentor-module-accordion-item\"><div class=\"gutentor-module-accordion-panel g-a-panel-d231bb\"><div class=\"gm-ah-d231bb gutentor-module-accordion-item-heading gutentor-module-icon-position-right\"><span class=\"gutentor-module-accordion-panel-handler\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"gutentor-module-accordion-panel-handler-label\">Foreign qualifications<\/span><span class=\"gutentor-module-accordion-icon\"><i class=\"gm-aio-d231bb gutentor-module-accordion-icon-open fas fa-plus\"><\/i><i class=\"gm-aic-d231bb gutentor-module-accordion-icon-close fas fa-minus\"><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/div><div class=\"gm-ab-d231bb gutentor-module-accordion-body\">\n<div id=\"section-g2dfaa5\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-g2dfaa5 gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><p class=\"gutentor-text\">Students who do not have a Spanish degree must enter the Esmuc through the common entrance test for everyone. It is not possible to access it by file transfer, as Spanish law does not allow it from foreign centers.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"section-g7e3c9c\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-g7e3c9c gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><h4 class=\"gutentor-text\">High school degree<\/h4><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"section-gaf5610\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-gaf5610 gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><p class=\"gutentor-text\">Spanish law recognizes foreign studies equivalent to high school. Those who are in possession of it must have their degree approved by the Spanish academic authorities and, in this way, it will not be necessary to take the baccalaureate exam.
