The department
Classical and contemporary music (àrees d'instruments orquestrals i no orquestrals)
The instruments of classical & contemporary department are organized into two areas: Orchestral Instruments and Non Orchestral Instruments (including singing).
This department manage specific subjects of these instruments, the teaching staff and activities related to the exercises of interpretation.
Both departments have qualified professors in terms of aesthetics, styles, techniques, means and approaches.
In addition to offering various higher degrees of instruments of classical and contemporary music, we also organize different activities: concerts of professors, concerts of chamber groups of the Esmuc, seminars, workshops, courses and master classes related to this type of music.
In addition to official studies to obtain a degree in music, there are a range of specialized courses for those who wish to go more deeply into aspects related to these departments.
