Joaquim Rabaseda

Rabaseda, Joaquim

Composer, has a degree in History of Art by the Universitat de Girona (1997) and in Musicology by the Universidad de Granada (1999), and PhD by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2006). He is Head of Department of Musicology since 2011. 

He writes regularly in the journal L'avenç (from 2006 to present). From 2001 he is actively involved in ethomusicological fieldworks directeds by Dr. Jaume Ayats in different countries of the Mediterranean. He is currently Principal Investigator of a research project on Pau Casals Orchestra (2012-2014). and with Joan Gay he is finishing a study on the link between music and the Impressionist from the biography of the catalan singer Llorenç Pagans (Cervià de Ter, 1833 - París, 1883).
