Entry requirements

Entrance requirements for admittance to the offical artistic Master’s degree programs are detailed in Article 16 of the Royal Decree 1393/2007, of October 29 and in Article 15 of the Royal Decree 1614/2009, of October 26 respectively.

For admittance to the master’s program, you must provide:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Spanish artistic studies, or
  • A degree from a Bachelor’s course from an ESHE institution which guarantees the level of preparation to enter an artistic master’s program.
  • A Degree outside of the ESHE. In this case, homologization of the degree is not necessary but does require  previous proof that the acredited degree is of an equivalent level of study. Access through this  process does not require, in any case, the homologization of the previous degree or its recognition. To enter the Master’s program without the homologization, it is necessary to provide the following documentation:
    • The completed Pre-Enrollment Form.
    • Copy of  the official stamped certificate of the Bachelor of Music degree  or equivalent, both translated and legalized through diplomatic channels.
    • Copy of the official stamped certificate of the completed courses, translated and legalized through diplomatic channels.

The Esmuc establishes the admission guidelines for each one of the Master’s students. This admission procedure consists of specific criteria and merit evaluation as well as recognised previous formation in specific areas of study.

The admission criteria of each Master’s student is detailed in the corresponding page. In all cases, admission depends on the evaluation criteria established by the Esmuc and the Master’s program.
