Marcel Sabaté is Professor of Flabiol and tamborí at ESMUC. With an impeccable musical training six advanced degrees and extensive experience in conducting, composition, interpretation i teaching, Marcel Sabaté is one of the most important emerging directors the current music scene.
 After obtaining a Degree in Management Orquestra with Honours and Award of Honor, has done postgraduate courses and management courses with the best teachers, highlighting five years in the Wiener Meisterkurse with Salvador Mas and Jörg Bierhance winning first prize and directs the final concert in the Wiener Konzerthaus in front of the Vidin State Philharmonic Orchestra, the Sinfonieorchester Baden Sinfonietta i Kaposvar.
Besides being the chief conductor of the GIOrquestra, the Cobla Sant Jordi-Ciutat de Barcelona and the Catalan Cobla Symphony is also professor at the Conservatory of Music Isaac Albéniz of the Province of Girona.
