MIREIA PINTÓ, mezzo-soprano

Born in Manresa, she studies music specializing in piano and singing, earning Honor Award for end of career. She perfects her training in Italy and France. She is awarded the most important prizes in several competitions in Spain and Italy.

Hes repertoire includes genres: Opera, Oratory and Lied. She has worked with instrumental chamber groups and orchestras, acting under the direction of famous masters like L.Maazel, P.Maag, R.Bonynge, H.Rilling, E.Ericson, A.Zedda, J.-C. Malgoire, O.Dantone, J.Lopez Cobos, M.Benini, F.Haider, FPDecker, B.de Billy, A.Ros-Marbà, a.garcia-Navarro, J.-J.Kantorow, C.Halffter, J . Pons, V. Pablo Perez, G.Noseda, among many others. She participates in concert series, festivals and opera productions in Italy, Russia, Holland, Germany, Greece, Andorra, France, Monaco, Japan and Spain (including outstanding performances in the major concert halls and theaters).

The operatic genre as in concert and recital she has played an extensive repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary music.
She has recorded for Südwestfunk, BBC Radio 3, Radio Nacional of Spain-Radio Classical, Catalunya Musica, Radio Netherlands, TVE, TV3, ARTE and Südwestfunk TV, among others. She has recorded with V. Bronevetzky the CD "Pushkin in music" with Manel Camp CD "One Life to Live"; involved with José Carreras in the CD recording of the opera "Sly"-Wolf-Ferrari and intervenes in the DVD of Liceo in the operas "Il Viaggio a Reims," Rossini, "Die Walküre"-Wagner.
