Àlex Garrobé

He offers regular concerts and recitals over thirty countries playing in major concert halls in Paris, Amsterdam, New York, Madrid, Helsinki and Beijing.

He receives Special Award for his career at the conservatory of Oscar Esplá of Alicante; he wins first prizes at the V International Guitar Competition Infanta Cristina (Guerrero Foundation1989) and the Permanent National Competition organized by JJMM (1988). He has also been awarded in the competitions on Andres Segovia 1987 (Palma de Mallorca) and 1989 (Almuñecar).

He frequently collaborates with various orchestras as soloist interpreting  concerts with guitar repertoire (the Madrid Symphony, the Orchestra of Baleares, the Barcelona Symphony and National of Catalonia, the Symphony of Vallès, the National Chamber Orchestra of Andorra, the Chamber Orchestra of the Music Palace Catalan, the Chamber Orchestra of the Gran Teatro del Liceo, the National Conservatory of Peace, the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia das Beiras, the Tampere Chamber Orchestra, the Symphony Lublin, the Medellín Symphony, the Chamber Orchestra of La Laguna ...)

 He has made several recordings always putting special attention to current music repertoire with stamps Colmuna Musica, Harmonia Mundi and Opera Tres.

He has been professor of Higher School of Music of the Basque (Musikene) Luthier School of Barcelona, the Conservatory of the Balearic Islands, School of Barcelona and the Conservatory of Sabadell. He currently teaches guitar and chamber music at the ESMUC. He is also regularly invited to give master classes and lectures at various universities and music centers as Stockholm, Helsinki (Sibelius Academy), Oslo, London (Guildhall School), Ahrus, Beijing or Tokyo.
